Pechenez Reservoir
The Pechenihy Reservoir in Kharkiv region has played the main role in supplying water to Kharkiv since the 1960s.
On December 7, 2025, Russian troops struck the dam of the Pechenihy Reservoir twice. As a result of the strike, the dam was damaged and traffic on the roadway was stopped.
The Armed Forces of Ukraine stated that the possible destruction of the Pechenihy dam would not have a critical impact on the front.
This is not the first attack. On September 21, 2022, two missiles destroyed the upper sluice on the Pechenihy dam. The dam was also struck on September 22, 2022.
