Pochaiv Lavra
The Holy Dormition Pochaiv Lavra is an Orthodox monastery for men in Pochaiv in Ternopil region with the status of a lavra. It is the largest Orthodox shrine of Volyn and the second largest in Ukraine after the Kyiv Pechersk Lavra. In November 2018, it became known that the buildings of the Pochaiv Lavra had been transferred for use to the UOC-MP until 2052. Thus, instead of a state reserve, 6 buildings of the lavra with a total area of more than 7 thousand square meters are in the use of the ROC. The prosecutor's office launched an investigation into the legality of transferring the right to use the lavra complex to the UOC-MP. On November 23, it became known that the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine had canceled the illegal re-registration of the Pochaiv Lavra buildings, since the transfer of this complex for use by the UOC-MP took place in violation of the law. This decision outraged the UOC-MP and the ROC
