Serhiy Melnychuk

Serhiy Melnychuk is the former commander of the "Aidar" battalion and a People's Deputy of the 8th convocation.

In June 2015, the Verkhovna Rada consented to bringing the former battalion commander to criminal liability. Melnychuk was suspected of committing a number of criminal offenses, in particular under the article on organizing or participating in an armed gang for the purpose of attacking enterprises.

In 2017, NABU investigated proceedings on suspicion that Melnychuk had declared false information.

In 2018, the former MP and his colleague from the "Radical Party" faction, Dmytro Linko, got into a fight after a broadcast on the Newsone TV channel.
