
Serhiy Zhadan
Serhiy Zhadan – an iconic Ukrainian poet, writer, translator and public figure. Author of the famous novels "Depeche Mode", "Voroshilovgrad" (best book of 2010 according to the BBC), "Mesopotamia" and the poetry collections "Tsytatnyk", "Ethiopia" and others.
Zhadan's literary works have received numerous national and international awards and have been translated into 30 languages, making the author one of the best-known contemporary Ukrainian writers.
Zhadan is also an active organizer of Ukraine's literary life (since 2000 – vice president of the Association of Ukrainian Writers).
