Sloviansk

Sloviansk is a city of regional significance in Donetsk Oblast and the administrative centre of Sloviansk Raion.

In April-July 2014, control over the city was established by Russian invasion units, joined by militants of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic and some members of the local criminal underworld.

To restore control over the northern part of Donetsk Oblast and the city of Sloviansk. In particular, from April 13 to July 5, the Ukrainian authorities conducted an anti-terrorist operation. Sloviansk was liberated.

After the start of the full-scale war in 2022, the Russian army actually approached Sloviansk. In 2026, Russia is advancing on Sloviansk.
