
The Arrest of Yuriy Hrymchak
Late in the evening of August 14, NABU detectives, together with SBU and Prosecutor General's Office officers, caught Deputy Minister for Temporarily Occupied Territories Yuriy Hrymchak and his "assistant" Ihor Ovdiienko taking a bribe.It is a considerable sum: half a million dollars. According to the investigation, the ministry official and a person associated with him demanded this money from an entrepreneur.Hrymchak and his "assistant" are accused of fraud on an especially large scale.The article provides for imprisonment for a term of 5 to 12 years with confiscation of property.
