The Liberation of Kherson
From the beginning of March to the beginning of November 2022, Kherson was the only regional centre that the Russians managed to occupy. The Armed Forces of Ukraine were pushing them out and cutting their logistical supplies, bringing the moment of de-occupation closer.
Eventually, on November 9, 2022, the Russian Ministry of Defence announced that its troops were leaving the city. On November 11, the Armed Forces of Ukraine began entering the city. They were joyfully greeted by local residents, who had been under occupation for more than half a year.
