Traffic Accident Involving a Motorcade in Kyiv

On May 31 in Kyiv, a car hit a 13-year-old cyclist at a pedestrian crossing. The boy was taken to hospital with a traumatic brain injury and a broken leg.

At first eyewitnesses claimed that the car – was from the motorcade of President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko, but the Presidential Administration denied this. It later became known that the car belonged to the police and was carrying out a special assignment. The driver took a test, which found no alcohol in his blood. Law enforcement officers opened a case into the accident.
