
Tragedy in Volnovakha
On January 13, 2015, militants carried out a terrorist attack in Volnovakha – they shelled a regular passenger bus, delivering an artillery strike from the direction of Dokuchaievsk toward a checkpoint of Ukrainian law enforcement officers in the Volnovakha area. 10 people died and 13 were wounded. The General Staff stated that this terrorist act was a provocation.
Afterwards, the "I am Volnovakha" campaign was held in Ukraine and abroad in support of the dead and wounded.
