Volodymyr Ruban

On March 8, the media reported that SBU officers had detained Volodymyr Ruban, a negotiator for the Ukrainian side on prisoner exchanges. He was allegedly detained when returning from the occupied part of Donetsk Oblast with a whole arsenal of weapons hidden in furniture.

Earlier, journalists accused Ruban of sympathising with the militants of the "DPR" and "LPR". In addition, the Ukrainian media link him to Viktor Medvedchuk, the godfather of Vladimir Putin's daughter.
