Volodymyr Viatrovych is a Ukrainian historian, columnist, researcher of the history of the liberation movement and public figure.
Born in 1977 in Lviv. He taught at the Ukrainian Catholic University and is the author of Ukraine's first higher education course "The Ukrainian Liberation Movement of the 1920s–1950s". Doctor of Philosophy – Candidate of Historical Sciences.
He headed the Ukrainian Institute of National Memory from March 2014 to September 2019. Chairman of the academic council of the Center for Research on the Liberation Movement, member of the supervisory board of the National Museum-Memorial of Victims of Occupation Regimes "Prison on Lontskoho".
He became a deputy of the 9th convocation in November 2019 from the "European Solidarity" party, as Iryna Lutsenko gave up her mandate for health reasons.
