Vyshyvanka Day
Vyshyvanka Day in Ukraine is celebrated every year on the third Thursday of May. In 2023 it falls on May 18.
On this holiday, Ukrainians put on vyshyvankas and stroll around their cities. You will not see such a variety of vyshyvankas anywhere else as on the third Thursday of May. On this day, photos in vyshyvankas are posted online not only by residents of Ukraine but also by people far abroad.
Vyshyvanka Day was founded in 2006, and to this day the tradition has gained enormous popularity in Ukraine and around the world.
