Water Contamination in Makiivka
In occupied Makiivka, people were poisoned en masse by drinking water. People began to seek hospital care on September 25, and as of the morning of September 28, there were already more than a hundred victims.
The main symptoms were abdominal pain, vomiting, chills and fever, and in severe cases, pronounced intoxication and dehydration.
The reason was that the drinking water of occupied Makiivka in Donetsk region was partly disinfected with manganese, because the city had run out of chlorine supplies.
The occupation authorities advised people to boil water for 5-7 minutes before drinking it, but this did not help.
