Alexei Belko
Alexei Belko, a native of Crimea annexed by Russia, drove onto the Metro Bridge on September 18. In the middle of the bridge, he got out of the car and began threatening to blow everything up. Some time later, Belko began firing a pump-action shotgun into the air and shot down one of the law enforcement drones.
As a result, all special service units and armored vehicles were brought to the scene. In addition, law enforcement officers closed the Metro Bridge in both directions. A real transport collapse occurred in the capital – metro stations were closed, and kilometers-long traffic jams formed near the bridge.
Later, Belko was detained by the KORD and Alpha special units and sent to a pre-trial detention center. No explosives were found on him.
