Attempted Assassination of Activist Mykhailyk

On the evening of September 22, in Odesa, at the intersection of Osypova and Yevreiska streets near the Main Directorate of the National Police in the region, an armed attack was carried out on Oleh Mykhailyk, one of the leaders of the city branch of the Syla Liudei (Power of the People) party and a public activist.

It is known that there was one shot, as a result of which the bullet pierced his arm, entered his chest and got stuck inside.As a result, the activist was hospitalized in critical condition.

His friends and acquaintances report that he even suffered clinical death. Later, doctors managed to somewhat stabilize his condition, but he remained unconscious.

According to the activist's associates, three people may be behind the attack: Mayor Hennadii Trukhanov, head of the regional National Police Dmytro Holovin and regional prosecutor Oleh Zhuchenko.Incidentally, Mykhailyk is a well-known activist in Odesa and a regular participant in protests against coastal development, etc. He is in open opposition to the city authorities.
