Environmental Disaster in Kamchatka

An environmental disaster has struck the Kamchatka Peninsula in Russia: petroleum products have entered the water area. Thousands of dead animals have washed up on the coast of Avacha Bay in the Pacific Ocean.

There are videos showing oily spots on the water. It is also known that many people were affected, developing burns of the mucous membranes after walks on the beach.

Despite this, the authorities assure that, supposedly, there were some problems, but everything is fine now because "the ocean has cleaned itself".
