Irakli Kobakhidze
Irakli Kobakhidze is the Prime Minister of Georgia, who is favorably disposed toward Russia.
It was this politician who announced that the Georgian authorities were refusing to hold negotiations on joining the European Union until 2028. He assured that at the end of 2028 the country would supposedly be economically ready to start EU accession negotiations in 2030.
In September 2025, Irakli Kobakhidze claimed that the SBU was allegedly involved in preparing a coup in the country.
In October 2025, new protests broke out in Georgia over local elections. Only 33% of voters turned out, and there were no observers from EU countries. The protesters, in turn, demanded the overthrow of the government, while security forces tried to disperse the protest using tear gas grenades.
