Olga Reshetilova is the Presidential Commissioner for the Protection of the Rights of Servicemen, the military ombudsman.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy appointed her Presidential Commissioner for the Rights of Defenders on December 30, 2024. At the same time, he stated that Olga is a well-known, experienced and effective Ukrainian human rights defender who has done a lot to build our state institutions and support Ukrainians.
The Verkhovna Rada supported the bill on the military ombudsman, since there is a great need for one during Russia's war against Ukraine.
On October 16, 2025, the President of Ukraine signed a decree appointing Olga Reshetilova as the first-ever military ombudsman.
