Vessels from the Persian Gulf pass through the Strait of Hormuz so that oil can reach various parts of the world.
The US and Israel launched an operation against Iran on February 28, 2026. After that, Iran closed the Strait of Hormuz. What's more, the Persian Gulf countries came under attack from Iran.
