Religion is a system of values, worldview and perception of the world that includes faith, rituals and ceremonies, and also unites people into communities.
There are several main religions in the world: Christianity, Islam and Buddhism.
In Ukraine, the majority are Christians belonging to several denominations. In particular, there are:
- the Orthodox Church of Ukraine (OCU), whose primate is His Beatitude Metropolitan Epiphanius of Kyiv and All Ukraine;
- the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church (UGCC), headed by His Beatitude Svyatoslav (Shevchuk);
- the Roman Catholic Church in Ukraine (RCC), headed by the Conference of Bishops, while the supreme head of the RCC is the Pope;
- Protestantism – Baptists, Pentecostals, Seventh-day Adventists and others.
