The Reburial of Oleksandr Oles

On January 3, a scandal broke out in the Czech Republic over the grave of Ukrainian writer Oleksandr Oles, whose body is to be forcibly exhumed.

The point is that another person is to be buried in the writer's grave at Olšany Cemetery in Prague.

Under Czech law, after a burial, rent must be paid for a place in the cemetery. Until recently, it was paid on his own initiative by Volodymyr Mykhailyshyn, a native of Ukraine, but he died. His son decided to bury his father in Oles's grave.
