Traffic Accident Near Kozin

On the evening of July 12, a drunk driver caused a road accident near the village of Kozyn, Kyiv region. As a result, an entire family was killed: the mother, the father, a son (10 years old) and a daughter (8 years old). Another son (14 years old) ended up in intensive care.

The driver, who veered into the oncoming lane, which caused the accident, was drunk. He caused the accident in the car of a woman at whose country house he worked. She reported the car stolen only after the accident.

The driver is 39-year-old Anton Zhelepa, who had previously had problems with the law. Toward the morning of July 13, the police reported his detention and the opening of a criminal case. He faces up to 10 years behind bars.
