Deadly Car Accident in Italy

In Italy, a bus crashed on a section of the Naples–Canosa motorway. About 40 people died; about a dozen, including three children, survived but are in hospital in serious condition.

According to local media, the tourist bus was on a religious pilgrimage to Apulia, a region neighboring Naples.

According to eyewitnesses, the bus had problems with its braking system. While moving along the motorway, it clipped and rammed several cars, then veered off the lane and fell into a ravine 25–30 meters deep.
