Eurovision
Eurovision is a song contest held since 1956 among member countries of the European Broadcasting Union (EBU). Every year, European countries choose a representative to go to Eurovision on their behalf.
Each time, Eurovision is hosted by the country that won the previous year's contest.
Ukraine has won Eurovision several times. In particular, the winners were:
- in 2004 – Ruslana with her "Wild Dances";
- in 2016 – Jamala with the song "1944" about the deportation of the Crimean Tatars in 1944;
- in 2022 – Kalush Orchestra with the song Stefania.
Ireland and Sweden have won Eurovision the most times – 7 times each. In addition, France, Luxembourg, the United Kingdom and the Netherlands have 5 wins each.
Every year, fans from all over the world come to the contest. Participants gain recognition and huge fan clubs.
Before the contest, bookmakers publish their predictions about the winners. Each participating country strives to win, but also has the opportunity to rate all Eurovision participants.
