Gennady Shapovalov
Gennady Shapovalov is a brigadier general of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, a Ukrainian serviceman, and Commander of the Land Forces.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy appointed Shapovalov to the post on June 19, 2025. He took it after the resignation of Mykhailo Drapatyi.
Since the start of Russia's war against Ukraine, he has held various positions in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In particular, he was commander of the Operational-Strategic Group of Forces "Tavria" and commander of the troops of Operational Command "South".
