Haakon VIII is the King of Norway. He automatically acceded to the throne after the death of his father, King Harald V, on August 28, 2026.
Haakon's wife, Crown Princess Mette-Marit, automatically became queen consort. The couple's elder daughter, Ingrid Alexandra, is crown princess and heir to the throne. The couple also has a younger son, Sverre Magnus. In addition, Haakon is stepfather to Mette-Marit's elder son, Marius Borg Høiby.
