Serhiy Sternenko

Serhii Sternenko is a Ukrainian public figure, former head of the Odesa regional branch of "Right Sector" (2014-2017, pseudonym "Beria"), an active participant in the "Revolution of Dignity", head of the NGO "Nebaiduzhi" and founder of the charitable foundation "Sternenko Community".

During Russia's full-scale invasion, the activist has been actively helping the army through his charitable foundation. In particular, the community has purchased more than 100,000 FPV drones for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In addition, he runs popular channels on YouTube and Telegram.

On May 1, 2025, the activist reported that he had been attacked. He was wounded with a firearm. The SBU detained the attacker on the same day.

Serhii Sternenko stated that Russia was involved in the assassination attempt. The activist's life is not in danger; he underwent surgery. It is known that the bullet passed straight through and did not hit vital organs.

It is worth noting that in 2018 Sternenko was the victim of attacks three times. The first time – in February Sternenko was beaten, then on May 1 – he was shot at, and on May 25 – he was attacked by two unknown persons. During the third attack, the activist defended himself and a girl, but fatally wounded one of the attackers, while another fled.

The activist also reported criminal prosecution. In particular, on February 23, 2021, an Odesa court sentenced Sternenko in a case on charges of kidnapping – 7.3 years of imprisonment with confiscation of half of his property. However, after mass protests in May 2021, the activist was sentenced to 1 year of probation. In February 2022, Sternenko's criminal record was expunged.
