Su Aircraft
Su aircraft are Soviet combat aircraft created at the design bureau headed by Pavel Sukhoi.
The first Su-type aircraft was the Su-2. It was followed by the Su-9, Su-22, Su-24, Su-25, Su-27, Su-27M, Su-30, Su-34, Su-35, Su-47, Su-57 and others.
After the collapse of the Soviet Union, most of the aircraft remained in Russia. However, the former republics of the USSR also received fighter jets.
According to open data, when Russia began the occupation of Crimea and the war in Donbas (as of March 2014), Ukraine had fourteen Su-27s, six Su-27Ps and four Su-27UBs.
Experts have repeatedly emphasized that the Su aircraft is better than the MiG. In particular, Sukhois are larger, more powerful, more modern and have more electronics.
Since the beginning of Russia's full-scale war against Ukraine, the Russians have been actively using Su aircraft against Ukraine. However, the Armed Forces of Ukraine shoot down enemy aircraft and use our bombers against Russia.
