The Defense Forces of Ukraine are the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other military formations, law enforcement and intelligence agencies, and special-purpose bodies with law enforcement functions that ensure the defense of the state.
The Defense Forces of Ukraine include:
- the Armed Forces of Ukraine,
- the National Guard,
- the Security Service of Ukraine,
- the Main Intelligence Directorate,
- the State Border Guard Service,
- the National Police and others.
The Defense Forces, as well as the security forces, the defense industry, and citizens and public associations that voluntarily participate in ensuring national security, form the Security and Defense Sector of Ukraine.
Without exaggeration, this is an extremely important part of our national security during Russia's war against Ukraine.
