Ukrainian Presidential Election
Presidential elections in Ukraine, according to the Constitution, must be held every 5 years. However, they are not permitted during martial law due to Russia's war against Ukraine.
The seventh presidential elections in Ukraine took place on March 31, 2019. In them, Volodymyr Zelenskyy defeated Petro Poroshenko.
Incidentally, under the Constitution, the president is the guarantor of state sovereignty, territorial integrity, the rule of law, and the protection of citizens' rights.
The fifth president, Petro Poroshenko, was elected in early elections in 2014.
