This is the fourth-generation mobile communications standard, which appeared in Ukraine on March 30. The three largest mobile operators in Ukraine, Lifecell, "Kyivstar" and "Vodafone Ukraine", purchased frequencies to develop 4G technology in Ukraine.

Thus, "Kyivstar" – bought three lots totalling 30 MHz, "Vodafone Ukraine" – two lots totalling 20 MHz, and Lifecell two lots totalling 30 MHz.
