Occupied territories

The occupied territories are territories of Ukraine that Russia has seized since 2014. 

As of August 2025, Russia effectively controls Crimea, almost all of Luhansk region, parts of Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions, and some territories of Kharkiv, Sumy and Mykolaiv regions.
