Peace Council

The Peace Council is an international organization initiated by Donald Trump.

The US president signed the documents on its creation on January 22, 2026, during the World Economic Forum in Davos.

Donald Trump first spoke about its creation on January 14, 2026, when he announced the launch of the second stage of the plan to end the war in the Gaza Strip. The Peace Council was to become its key element, responsible for security, coordination of reconstruction and humanitarian aid until the reform of the Palestinian National Authority.

Donald Trump later said that the Peace Council would deal not only with the Gaza Strip, and offered anyone interested the chance to buy a permanent seat on it for 1 billion dollars.

The US president sent out invitations to the Peace Council. In particular, one was received by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, as well as by Russian leader Vladimir Putin. In total, 49 countries and the European Commission received invitations.

As of January 22, 2026, Hungary, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, the UAE, Uzbekistan and 15 other countries had joined the Peace Council. Not a single major Western country joined the organization; it is mainly states from the Middle East and South America.
