A magnitude 8.8 earthquake struck Kamchatka on July 30, 2025. There are injuries and damage. The Klyuchevskaya Sopka volcano also awoke.
Due to the powerful earthquake, Kamchatka (coastal areas), the US, Japan, China and New Zealand were under threat of a tsunami.
