Not Just Missiles: Zelenskyy Names Two Things Ukraine Needs from Its Allies

Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that there is a critical shortage of interceptor missiles needed to defend Ukraine. He also emphasized the importance of applying sanctions pressure on Russia.

The President of Ukraine spoke about this in an interview with CNN.  Zelenskyy on Ukraine's needs

The publication notes that Ukraine finds itself in an extremely difficult situation due to a lack of capabilities to shoot down Russian missiles. Currently, the Ukrainian military is once again receiving intelligence reports about ballistic missile launches, but lacks the means to intercept them.

Zelenskyy noted that European partners have provided Ukraine with several missiles for its air defense systems, but “this is not enough to defend ourselves.” To effectively counter the aggression, Ukraine needs two things from its international partners above all else.

Do not lift sanctions against Putin… (and) provide us with better missiles,
– Zelenskyy stated.

Journalists noted that tensions in Ukraine’s relations with the U.S. have eased following accusations from Kyiv regarding restrictions on the transfer of intelligence, delays in weapons deliveries, and limitations on Starlink’s operations.

Currently, the exchange of critical intelligence has resumed. At the same time, SpaceX’s Starshield military services are still operating under restrictions.

As a reminder, Volodymyr Zelenskyy previously stated that the U.S. was delaying the delivery of missiles for the Patriot systems, even though they had already been paid for. Meanwhile, U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio denied allegations of any intentional delays, explaining that there is high global demand for ballistic interceptors.
