Anniversary of the full-scale invasion
On February 24, 2022, Russia launched a full-scale war against Ukraine. Then Russian troops crossed Ukraine's state border from different directions and began seizing Ukrainian cities and villages. Missile and artillery shelling of many Ukrainian cities also began, and not only in Donbas, where the war was already underway.
Since then, Ukraine commemorates that day every year. Usually, visits by world leaders take place around the anniversary of the invasion. Ukraine also holds thematic meetings and summits.
