"This is where it's headed": Putin's aide issued a statement about the end of the war
Yuri Ushakov, an aide to Russia's dictator, stated that things are allegedly moving toward the end of the war against Ukraine. At the same time, he was unable to assess the pace of this process.
Russian media outlets, including "Vesti," reported this on October 21.
What did Putin’s administration say?
Ushakov gave a brief assessment of the current state of affairs in response to a question from propagandists about the prospects for ending the “confrontation.”
“I don’t know how close we are, but things are moving in that direction,”
said the Russian dictator’s aide.
In addition, the Kremlin official referred to remarks made by U.S. President’s Special Representative Steve Witkoff. According to Ushakov, Witkoff allegedly stated that during the talks in Oslo, the American side “noticed new nuances,” but that these “do not fully satisfy” Moscow.
Putin’s aide also assured propagandists that Europeans had allegedly “begun to take the Ukrainian crisis more seriously.”
It should be noted that Kremlin representatives regularly make such contradictory statements, while continuing their daily attacks on Ukrainian territory and issuing ultimatums.
Contrary to such statements from the Kremlin, the aggressor country’s Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak stated that Washington and Moscow have nearly signed a contract for the supply of diesel fuel. According to him, Russia will send its first tanker carrying fuel to the U.S. as early as October 22. At the same time, the Kremlin hopes that this is only part of broader plans to resume fuel exports.
