Sanctions
Sanctions are restrictions that countries apply against other states, groups or individuals. This refers to commercial and financial bans.
In Ukraine, sanctions are imposed by the National Security and Defence Council of Ukraine (NSDC) and put into effect by presidential decree.
During the full-scale war, Ukraine has imposed many sanctions against Russia and its supporters. In particular, against Boiko, Arestovych, Andrii Luhanskyi, Solovyov, Medvedchuk, Firtash and in total against more than 12 thousand individuals.
Kyiv has also imposed sanctions against:
- more than 9 thousand legal entities,
- 712 sanctioned vessels.
